Dispatch status of IGNOU study material

Study material is usually sent from IGNOU’s main campus, Maidan Garhi, Delhi, and sometimes from the relevant regional center at which the student is admitted.

Students have the option of choosing digital books or physical books for their study material. In either case, candidates need books to prepare for their assignment questions. IGNOU books also cover the full schedule of each program.

IGNOU students can now check the status of their study material for the July 2022 session here:

However, you cannot verify it if you have opted for digital copies. In that case, you just need to download them from the eGyanKosh website.

You must provide the 9-digit registration number that you would have received in the confirmation email or SMS for admission. Enter the registration number and click “Submit” to see the current status of the dispatch of your study materials. If the delivery status of your books is not yet available, wait and check after a few days.

The books will be sent to the student’s address. Sometimes the books are also delivered to the relevant regional center. You can verify this both in your regional center and at the post office. Your regional center will need your IGNOU identity card to provide you with the books.

I haven’t received my study material yet, what should I do?

Wait for some days if you think they might deliver them soon. If a lot of time has passed, contact the IGNOU Study Materials Department by email at [email protected]. You can also call them on the 011-29572008, 011-29572009, 011-29572012 number.
However, you should first check the status of the shipment before posting or taking any such action.

The delivery date has passed but my books still haven’t arrived?

Contact your regional center or contact them by e-mail.

Does the message “Registration number not found” appear?

They didn’t update your status, you signed up, or entered the wrong number. Check your registration number and wait a few days if all is well.

Can I change my address after sending the study material?

No, you can not.
